Tuyserkan carpets are knotted in the Hamadan region in north-west Persia. Tuyserkan rugs are made of supple and lustrous wool and are of very good quality. The colours are usually red or blue with patterns containing components of nomadic or geometric motifs. Sometimes they also have geometric or round medallions. This rug has a small repair at the bottom left which is almost undetectable. Otherwise a beautiful pile and lustre.
