A vibrant Kazak rug from a village in the western central Caucasus is attributed to a group of colourful carpets. It is characterised by a lively design that includes many geometric, floral and symbolic elements in frames with a series of borders. This carpet has been professionally cleaned and is in good condition, completely in its original state. The blue field and red lightning bolt designs surrounding the three medallions are quite unusual for a village rug of this provenance.
